You never deserve abuse because you’re too needy or clingy
You never deserve abuse because you “let it happen” or “didn’t fight back” or “didn’t stand up for yourself”
You never deserve abuse because you “let it get this far” or you “stayed this long”
You never deserve abuse because your abuser is your mother or father, sister or brother, other family member, your boyfriend, girlfriend, fiancée, husband, or wife
You never deserve abuse because you have a particular mental or physical illness
You never deserve abuse because you’re “too emotional”
You never deserve abuse because you were “asking for it”
You never deserve abuse even though you’ve made mistakes, or said something wrong, or haven’t understood something, or can’t remember something
You never deserve abuse for being “too much” or “not good enough”
You never deserve abuse for having off days or being vulnerable sometimes
You never deserve abuse for asking for help
You never deserve abuse, no matter how many times and how many ways your abuser justifies it or makes excuses for it.
Who needs love when you can have cup of noodles at midnight with your cat?
Do you ever have that moment when a kid is looking at you and you realize that they’re looking at you as a grown up? Then its like no child im a children too, dont. Im sorry my outward appearance confuses you.
The moment in my life when I realized that 95% of adults are just freaked out teenagers in older bodies trying desperately to hide the fact that they don’t really know or understand what’s going on was probably the most important realization I’ve ever had
Like full offence but wtf did we do to deserve anything and everything that Rick Riordan ever wrote???
Not only does it encourage kids to learn about mythologies and shit and other cultures (which children in specifically America definitely need more of) The amount of representation in his books is crazy and amazing. I mean he’s got gays, mental illness, disabilities, gender fluid characters, and a whole host of healthy platonic and romantic relationships that as a kid reading fantasy books I didn’t see a lot of.
I mean every romance mainsub-plot that was in a fantasy YA novel was like “girl meets boy, girl hates boy, boy is hot, boy doesn’t respect girls boundaries, then girl falls for boy” it was creepy and was waaay too normal. Then Rick comes in with healthy relationships and a variety of not only romantic but also platonic ones. it’s amazing.
That’s not even me starting on the character diversity. IT’S FANTASTIC. Oh my gods I could go on and on about it, but the whole deal with Nico and his coming out and the inner turmoil he faced, it was so real and I related with it way too much and it helped me get through shit in my life.
TD;LR Rick Riordan is amazing and anything and everything he’s written should be read and loved because it’s amazing. Thanks for coming to my TEDtalk
Yup! My claims for both SSI and SSDI were approved on the first go round! ::dances:: I still have to have an interview with someone at the Social Security office, but within the next 1 – 2 months, I will begin receiving SSI/SSDI payments. So that’s fantastic news!
There’s just a few things I need to do first that require monetary help (especially if my payments don’t start until January):
I need to make sure my phone stays on. My bill is due the 28th of this month and is about $60 with tax.
I still need to get the money for my doctor’s appointment on Wednesday, which is $40 to finish filling up the tank and ensure we can go across the county and back.
We still need to recoup the $120 for the hotel room on Thursday. Any more to go a few more nights would be great, but just $120 is needed for now.
So all of that comes to about $220 and I have friends who have offered items for helping out on a previous post, plus I do give fic for donations as well. Please help if at all possible and hopefully, once this is all sorted and I start getting payments, I can pay people back/pay the generosity forward by helping others.

I called the Social Security worker in charge of the last interview I have to do a few times today and couldn’t get a hold of her, so I left a message and hopefully I will hear back soon. But I’m desperately needing at least $100 to make my appointment and keep my phone on until I hear from her. Please help if at all possible? Thank you.
I forgot to mention! My lawyer also mentioned a program SD county is doing to help disabled people get housing that meets their needs, so if I can get case management with a certain group I may qualify. I have to pay the county back, but it’s a real step forward!
Wonderful. Denny’s is now back to requiring us to purchase something to use the bathroom. With as many bladder accidents as I’ve been having, this is really bad news. I basically can’t drink any liquids at this point just so I don’t have to pee. I’m going to cry.
Good news: the phone bill might be taken care of if I can get a friends credit card to work. Bad news: we didn’t get money for gas so I had to reschedule my doctor’s appointment to December 5th.
I mostly need the $120 for the room at this point. Please help if you can; after three bladder accidents in a week I’m in dire need of a shower.
